For normal sewing operations we have used the subclass -01C, which was supplied without any attachments like guides or folders. The machine was customised according to the customers specifications and requirements.
To provide more flexibility and versatility with this machine and to make it suitable for several applications, the subclass -01G includes the guides for -03 and -08 applications and the presser foot is also suitable for all 3 applications, compensating presser foot like -01/-08 with the adjustable guide on the presser foot from -03G subclass.

Please note:
Subclass -01G is replacing fully the -01C, but can not replace by 100 % the subclasses -03 and -08. The guiding system is different on -01G for cover seaming in comparison to the standard -03 subclasses of W500 and 600, also are differences in the gauge parts.

The same applies for standard -08 hemming gauge parts, which are more "specialised for hemming".
This means, in case of -03 and -08 for high quality seams, it is still better to use standard W664-03F or G, in case of W562-03D or E and for hemming the -08A, B or D gauge parts, or even in combination with HG410, HG411 or semi-automatic unit MHG.

Versatile applications of -01G:

used as -01 for joining 2 pieces of fabric, like gusset seam or similar

used as -03 for cover seaming of overlock seams on shoulder and sleeve seams of T-Shirts, Sweat Shirts and similar articles

used as -08 for hemming of sleeves and bottoms of shirts, underwear etc.

It is also possible:

• to make above seams with or without top cover thread
• to use 2 - needles instead of 3
