| EX5200: | New BL - controller and model |
The new BL-controller will be introduced towards the end of the year for EX(T)5204, EX5404, EX(T)5214 and EX5414. The controller is available in two versions:
1. Simple type, which has all basic functions of the old BL , but has no auto start function. Additionally are available a manual backstitching function at the end of the seam and plain seaming without BL (alternate plain with KS).
2. High performance type, which has the same functions like 1 and additionally has the programm for storing up to 20 steps for sewing with or without BL in any order. Example: 3 x no BL, 1 x BL, 2 x no BL, 2 x BL ........... This way it is possible to assemble one nightdress, for example made of single jersey fabric, on one workplace and allowing this way to eliminate all the time for bundling, moving, unbundling and additional handling during picking up and positioning.
The sewing mode, plain seaming, BL, back stitching and in case with condensed stitches is programmable from 1-20 steps.
Also available: auto start, mesh count in case of lace type fabric, pattern correct and reset function for previous step, memory of steps in case power is off.
One new additional feature is closing the side seam the 2 nd time with BL (side seam is already sewn with BL and gets oversewn the second time from the other side) the side seam of ladies slips. In case the side seam is very short, the photocell would release the tension release too early and for this reason this can be programmed by stitch counting.

The small cylinderarm overlock machine for attaching elastic to swim wear, aerobic / gymnastic suits and mens sport slips is now available with the Y-number 1332. The Y1332 indicates the new improved presser foot. This is the only reason for the Y-number and in this case the Y1332 does not influence the usual discount. Machines are available from PPE stock.

The EX5104/Y1300 with MC is now as official subclass for up to 40 mm wide elastic available. Main differences are in the presser foot, the rollers and the knife which take up this wide elastic.
The official subclass is now MC311, for the 40 mm wide parts set, and the machines are available from PPE stock: EX5104-52D/333-4/MC311
It is recommended to use with the slack feeding device GF-120.
