Pegasus is providing needle plates for obtaining bridge less seam (without pin tucking effect), especially on hemming operations on light weight material, like single jersey and silky type fabric. Until now we only had the possibility to use subclass -08DCx248 with the slightly thicker needle plate/chaining finger to compensate and reduce this effect on light weight single jersey. For very light weight single jersey and silky type fabric was no solution available.
New solution is the bridge less needle plate with a different shaped chaining finger:

Of most interest are items 9 - 13. The 2 - needle hems are very important, because they are the seams with the biggest problems. 3 - needle seams are not critical, but if used as 2 - needle in 5,6 mm needle distance, the problem is even bigger.
The pin tucking effect or with "bridge" looks similar like following sketch:

On the bridge less needle plate was the shape of the chaining finger changed following:
The bridge less style needle plate has to be seen as an interim solution. Pegasus is working on W-series to improve, respectively to eliminate this effect. This will be a long term design for changing the complete design.
