Y - number-machines

Pegasus is manufacturing for our market a wide variety of Y-number machines, which we usually have in our stock for prompt delivery.
We give you here a summary of Y-number machines with respect to the major differences respective the major features.

1. EX5104-52D/333-4/MC301/Y1332

The Y-number indicates the new improved presser foot. The new foot is stopping to break. The y-number has no influence on the price, it is for marking the production.

2. EX5104-52D/333-4/MC301/Y1300

The Y1300 was used for the 40 mm wide parts set for elastic width of up to 40 mm. With the introduction of MC311, this subclass was officially introduced. Above Y-number is no longer in use.

3. EX5214-04/445K-2,5 x 3,5 / Y1129

This 4-thread overlock is prepared to be used for sewing jumpers and cardigans, knitted of medium - heavy flatbed knitted fabric ( E10 - E5 ), i. e. bulky knitwear. Fitted with K = angled knife to push the cut fabric better down. Standard equipped with big eye loopers for woollen looper threads and with 2,5 mm tooth pitch of feed dogs for intensive transport of the fabric.

4. EX5214-42/373-2x4 / Y 1151

For shirring and plain seaming, with special parts set to guarantee good performance on both operations, plain seaming and shirring. Our competitors haven 't got this feature!

New Y-number is now Y1245 !

5. EX5214-83/323-2x4/BT250 /PL020/Y1190 and Y1246

This manual BT machine is equipped with a pneumatic tension release to avoid the heat reflection from the electromagnetic switch, which is common on the standard equipment. It also allows much higher tension on the needle threads.
This model is used at present only in some special cases, where extra high needle thread tension is required.

6. EX5203H-B3/785-10/Y1339

1-needle, 2-threads, ultra high lift overlockmachine for joining fabric rolls in dying and finishing. The machine is equipped with special parts set for joining butted ends to achieve a flat joined fabric.
The old model was LX5203H-B3/785-10/Y.

7. EXT2241-B-5A/223 / Y 1117

1-needle double chainstitch (stitchtype 401) machine with variable top feed behind the needle. Equipped with a parts set for binding operations, a small binder (fitted between casing and knife) and a reel stand. The machine is used for the binding of disposable garments, acid proof garments for laboratories, sun umbrellas and similar items. The top feed behind the needle provides a good sewing performance and a flat finished article.

8. EXT2242-D4/085-24 / Y1216
EXT2242-D4/085-48 / Y1219

2-needle double chainstitch (2 x 401) machine with variable top feed. The machine is used for manufacturing airbags, especially for closing the peripheral seam on an airbag, of circular or elliptical shape. The feed dog tooth pitch is 2,5 mm and the machine is capable of using sewing threads of up to 1/30.
The machine is equipped with a thread cutter, allowing to start and finish inside the piece.

9. EXT3216-42/233-5x6/KL201 /PL181 / Y 1231

Safety stitch machine with variable top feed for shirring operations on fine - medium material, like blouses, children's wear and similar articles. Equipped with a special parts set for shirring, where no shirring blade is required. This gives a faster and easier operation. No need to swing the shirring blade in or out.
New Y-number is Y1272 !

10. EX5204-02/223-3 /Y1164

1 - needle, 3 - thread overlock with modified parts set for serging circular or of similar shape embroidered emblems.
Small gauge parts set is used and the presser foot is made shorter and smaller and allows easier turning and sewing of the curved shapes or the circle.

11. EX5214-83BA/333-2x4/BL525/Y1260

New automatic BL-controller with new small operator panel and different controller panel (common to MC301, MC-501, MD441). Controller with new features, like mesh counter, sequential programs of up to 20 steps of BL, plain seaming and back stitching in any order.
Please refer to the PPE-News, 2 nd edition 1998 and 1 st edition 1999, for latest and detailed information on the new BL, with respect to subclasses, features etc.

12. EXT5104-D-04/433N-3/ KS380/FR151/PL181/Y1244

Small cylinder overlock machine, equipped with tension rollers FR151, for attaching knitted elastic ribs to neck cut out, waist etc. of sleeping gowns, jogging suits etc.

The main feature is "-D" which stands for drop feed dog mechanism, to give more space between feed dogs and presser foot shoe for easy insertion of the garment and the rib. Additionally it avoids ply shift during insertion, i.e. the cross seam of the rib and the sleeve remain aligned.

13. EXT5214-04/443K-4/KH021A Y1298

This 4-thread overlock is prepared to be used for sewing jumpers and cardigans, knitted of medium - heavy flatbed knitted fabric ( E10 - E5 ), i. e. bulky knitwear.
Fitted with K=angled knife to push the cut fabric better down. Standard equipped with big eye loopers for woollen looper threads.

14. EXT5214H-85BA/535K-2,5x4,5 /BL528/P/Y1336

This 4-thread ultra high lift overlock machine is prepared to be used for sewing up of jumpers and cardigans, knitted of heavy and very heavy flatbed knitted fabric, i. e. very bulky knitwear.
Fitted with K=angled knife to push the cut fabric better down. Standard equipped with big eye loopers for woollen looper threads. The feed dogs have a tooth pitch of 2,5 mm for intensive transport of the voluminous flat bed knitted fabric.

The machine is available ex stock PPE.

15. EXT3216-03/333-5x6/KH021H /Y1390

The machine is for the use in automatic units for side seaming of trousers with side pockets. Previous Y - no. was Y1325, with CD - gauge parts. Y1390 has standard production gauge parts. The old Y - no. was Y1091, with different gauge parts, with respect to the needle plate, main feed dog and the presser foot.

16. EXT2242-52P1/085-5/Y1253

2-needle double chainstitch machine, 2 x stitchtype 401, for tape binding operation on light to medium material, like closing pocket pouches. The machine is equipped with rear top feed dog.
